Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is from Belarus and was born in Minsk. Sergey the father of her (who died in 2019) was a professional ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. Aryna is the holder of twelve WTA Singles titles. One of which was named "Grand Slam" during the Australian Open 2023. In doubles, she is a great player. She's taken home two Majors with Elise Mertens including the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. She won each of the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian teammate, and completed The Sunshine Double. The feat was made possible by four couples in the women's doubles. In January of 2023 she reached her highest ranking in singles. On the 23rd of August, 2021 she moved to second place in the ranks. After winning the Melbourne doubles event in February of 2021 it was possible rise up the rankings to take the first spot in that specialty. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis pro, worked with her from the 2018 season until the end and part of the 2020 season. Dieter Kindlmann played a short time as her coach from the month of August to September. Since the end of 2020 she's been instructed by her countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams is her role hero, and then Maria Sharapova.
